Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CGI will cost between 56,434 euros and 101,094 euros. The price of the CLS 320 CDI supercars will remain unchanged, despite an increased range of safety features and a higher-torque engine. Mercedes-AMG has developed the new CLS 63 AMG, which is powered by a 378 kW/ 514 hp V8 naturally aspirated engine.

This United Arab Emirates-registered gold-mirror-finish Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG was caught at the Bling on Wheels Show, otherwise known as the valet area at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. While we have nothing untoward to say about someone who decks out his/her ride in any manner desired, we are always intrigued when someone looks to have spent the worth of a car – on top of the price of the car itself – on "beautification."


There is some debate as to whether this is a real paint job or a wrap, but parking your gold-wrapped C63 next to a genuinely chrome SLR would be shamefully ludicrous. A C63 AMG goes for about 300,000 AED (about $82,000 USD). Unless gold paint bubbles out of the ground as well, a liquid gold paint job has to cost a good portion of that.

New Updated Audi Q7 | Luxury Sports Car Photos

Audi has updated the Audi Q7, an all-wheel drive permanent total ('quattro') and without reduction of five meters long and up to seven seats, which was launched in the market in spring 2006. It is on sale from € 56,650.

The changes affect the exterior, interior and engines. It is available in five or seven seats with the same engines that the model of 2006, although most are minor modifications to consume less. The range consists of three diesel and two petrol.

The first is a 239 hp V6, a V8 340 hp (326 hp was before) and a V12 500 hp. The petrol V6 is a 280 hp and 350 hp V8. All have direct injection. Consume less fuel than previous versions, except the V12 TDI.

The 3.0 TDI engine from 239 hp is available in two versions, one normal and another, called 'clean diesel, which emits less nitrogen oxides (NOx) and fulfills the Euro 6 antipollution regulations coming into force in 2014.

Based on the Murcielago concept, Lamborghini created Reventon at Saint’Agatha, Italy wich heads straight from the spotlights of Frankfurt motor show halls. Moreover, the clientele is limited(20 owners by October 2008) and the price varies around $1.365. Its engine is powered with 650hp at 8000rpm, right coveted 100-hp/liter mark and 10hp more than the LP640-which dates back from Lamborghini pre-Miura days, even if claims the same speed and acceleration numbers as the Lp640.

The carbon-fiber masterpiece was inspired by the F-22 Raptor Jet,as the brand and design manager talks,Manfred Fitzgerald talks about of every team’s member involvement and creativity in order to soak up dynamic views of the jet design. The rear lights,which are carbon fiber with LeD inserts,or the carbon fiber struts across the top of the engine bay,with a transparent cover,will definetly keep people talking.

Though the Reventon ticks every box in the Murcielago’s options list ,like carbon ceramic brakes,forged-aluminium wheels with fiber inlays,no panels are shared with the LP640-only the side mirrors have been carried over from it. Fitzgerald claims that the Reventon is designed to go straight from sketches to CAD production,and not only a piece of design.

The quarter-scale model,allowed them to reduce production time tremendously,because it has been all virtual,and the higher cornering speeds than the LP640 are due to the aeronautics inspiration-arrowhead nose and visible carbon-fiber splitter that provided the car with more front downforce.

Equipped with a digital dash,it allows the driver to enjoy a digitized version of the traditional round,and while the bodywork will capture the attention of the overwealming majority,it is the instrument cluster(all aluminum) that lends the car more technical credibility9.

The rest of the interior is stylish,equipped with greenish Alcantara seats which follow the design of the sharp arrow idea,or nappa leather around the cabin,similar to that in the Gallardo Superleggera.

It is question whether the Reventon worths its million dollar price due to its comparison to the LP640,though its price is justified by pointing out the months of research and its different body and interior design,with the lefthand drive.The 20 Reventons have already been sold and are on the sales list among Bugatti Veyron,The Mercedes Benz CLK and Ferrari Fxx.

The world's safest truck is now even safer: Mercedes-Benz is introducing second-generation Active Brake Assist for the heavy-duty Actros truck. This unique and multi-award-winning safety system now has even greater capability: whereas the first-generation system applied the brakes automatically if it detected a risk of a head-to-tail collision with a slow-moving obstacle in front of the vehicle, Active Brake Assist 2 is also activated if a stationary obstacle is detected. Active Brake Assist has already proven its worth in more than 14,000 trucks and over a total of more than three billion kilometres on Europe's roads.

Anti-lock braking system, acceleration skid control, disc brakes all round, electronically controlled braking system, high-pressure braking system, Brake Assist, Lane Assistant, roll control, proximity control – the list of safety technologies and systems that have celebrated their world premiere in Mercedes‑Benz trucks is a long one. One development highlight is the revolutionary Active Brake Assist system, which was introduced for the Mercedes-Benz Actros heavy-duty truck in 2006 and has since proven itself time and time again out on the road.

Many truck drivers have reported situations in which the safety system has prevented accidents. The experts are agreed: Active Brake Assist has saved lives – not only those of Actros drivers and occupants but also those of the people in the vehicles in front. Many insurance companies are also convinced that this system is good for their customers and, therefore, ultimately for themselves, prompting them to offer discounts on premiums for commercial vehicles equipped with this technology.

The new Active Brake Assist 2 system sets yet another milestone. Whereas the first-generation safety system only initiated emergency braking if there was a risk of a head-to-tail collision with a vehicle in front, Active Brake Assist 2 also applies the brakes if stationary obstacles are detected, for instance a suddenly encountered traffic tailback on the motorway. Daimler Trucks has therefore taken a further step towards realising its vision of accident-free driving, as part of its "Shaping Future Transportation" global initiative.

Radar-controlled system detects stationary obstacles

The radar used by the Active Brake Assist 2 system scans an area of 1-200 m in the lane ahead of the truck whilst continuously determining the distance to a vehicle in front or a stationary obstacle as well as the difference in speed between the two vehicles. If, based on the current driving style, an accident is unavoidable, the driver initially receives visual warnings in the form of a red triangle which lights up and an audible alarm. If the situation gets any worse, the system responds by applying the brakes.

The warning concept is designed to allow drivers to diffuse critical situations themselves; that's because braking initiated by Active Brake Assist 2 with 50% of the maximum braking power gives drivers the time that is needed to avoid an accident themselves.

Decisive advantage: effective from 0-89 km/h and robust under all weather and light conditions

Active Brake Assist 2 offers decisive advantages over other systems currently under development. The tried-and-tested radar technology operates robustly under all weather and light conditions, for instance. What's more, Active Brake Assist is effective across a truck's entire speed range – from 0 km/h or slow driving at brisk walking pace to motorway speeds of up to 89 km/h (when the speed limiter is activated).

Although Active Brake Assist 2 cannot always prevent accidents, the automatic application of the brakes does reduce the collision speed and, therefore, mitigates the consequences of accidents substantially.

Active Brake Assist 2 will replace the previous system at the turn of the year. As in the past, Mercedes-Benz will be doing all it can to ensure that Active Brake Assist 2 is installed in as many trucks as possible by offering packages incorporating this and other safety systems at attractive prices.

Active Brake Assist 2 is celebrating its premiere in the Mercedes-Benz Actros in late September at the International Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover.

Mercedes-Benz India Recorded 94% Sales Growth in June

Continuing its strong growth story, Mercedes-Benz India today announced its sales numbers for June 2010. The company notched-up 388 units in June 2010 (increase by 94% over June 2009). The C 200 CGI Blue Efficiency introduced in mid May continued its popularity run with 320+ units sold since launch.

In the first half of 2010 Mercedes sales increased by 79% (January – June 2010: 2402 units; January – June 2009: 1342 units). Powering this growth are the volume models of the E-Class (1056 units) and the C-Class (926 units).

New Kolkata Showroom Opens for Mercedes Benz Cars in India

Interkrafts, the authorized dealer for Mercedes-Benz in Eastern India today formally inaugurated its new showroom for Kolkata. Centrally located at Dr. Ambedkar Sarani Road, the new Interkrafts showroom is spread over an area of 6700+ sq. ft. The facility was created in a span of four months with an investment of Rs. 1.5 Crores.
